Nicola Stratton Tyler

After completing her MA (Hons) at Edinburgh University, Nic has spent more than 20 years as a Fine Art valuer. Having worked for Christie's London and Bonham's East Anglia, she continues to work in a freelance capacity as a valuer and curator.

Nic's painting and drawing is practised plein air and is largely inspired by the natural world around her; in particular the landscapes and seascapes of East Anglia and North Cornwall. She is fascinated by natural forms, by the power of nature and the transience of light.  She has studied and practised fine art and sculpture for many years and was recently shortlisted for the Sir John Hurt Art Prize.
